Department of Defense Neurofibromatosis Research Program for Fiscal Year 2003

The FY03 NFRP Program Announcement will be released in mid-March 2003, with receipt of electronic submission proposals due August 20, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. This announcement will call for proposals in the following mechanisms:

  • New Investigator Award
  • Idea Award
  • Investigator-Initiated Research Award
  • Therapeutic Development Award
  • Clinical Trial Development Award
  • Clinical Trial Award

New this year:

Clinical Trial Development Award is intended to fund the development of a plan for communication, real-time data transfer, the handling and distribution of specimens and imaging products, and a plan for statistical analysis between the participating institutions. Applicants are required to submit a Clinical Trial Award application at the conclusion of the award period.

Detailed descriptions of each of these mechanisms, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements will be available in the FY03 NFRP Program Announcement. All applicants will be required to submit one electronic version of their proposal as a PDF (Portable Document Format) file.
