JPC-1 Medical Simulation and Information Sciences
JPC-1/MSIS works with the services and joint agencies to address gaps and requirements as identified by the Military Health System (MHS) and is responsible for programming research in the following areas:
- Medical Simulation and Training
- Medical Assist Support Technologies
The establishment of the JPC-1/MSIS has enabled a more collaborative process to identify and validate the research initiatives pertaining to the military. The portfolios assist in the identification, assessment and transition of relevant emerging technologies that are of value into the MHS. This ultimately allows the US Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to better align its research and development efforts with the needs of the MHS.
