Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program (BCRP)
Funding Opportunities for Fiscal Year 2008 (FY08)

The Fiscal Year 2008 (FY08) Defense Appropriations Act provides $138 million to the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program (BCRP) to support innovative research aimed at eradicating breast cancer. This program is administered by the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command through the Office of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).

FY08 BCRP program announcements for the Concept Award and the Postdoctoral Traineeship Award will be released in mid-October 2008.

Detailed descriptions of the Concept Award and Postdoctoral Traineeship Award mechanisms, evaluation criteria, submission requirements, and deadlines will be provided in the FY08 BCRP program announcements. These program announcements and the required forms will be available electronically for downloading from the Grants.gov website (https://www.grants.gov) upon release in October 2008. The program announcement will also be available on the CDMRP website (https://cdmrp.army.mil).

A Letter of Intent (LOI) is required and must be submitted through the CDMRP eReceipt website, https://cdmrp.org. Proposals for this funding opportunity must be submitted through Grants.gov. The LOI deadline and proposal submission deadline will be listed in the program announcement.
