Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program
Funding Opportunities for Fiscal Year 2008

The Fiscal Year 2008 (FY08) Defense Appropriations Act provides $138 million to the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program (BCRP) to support innovative research aimed at eradicating breast cancer. This program is administered by the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command through the Office of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).

FY08 BCRP program announcement for the Predoctoral Traineeship Award will be released in mid-December 2007.

Detailed descriptions of the Predoctoral Traineeship Award mechanism, evaluation criteria, submission requirements, and deadlines will be provided in the FY08 BCRP program announcement. This program announcement and the required forms will be available electronically for downloading from the Grants.gov website (https://www.grants.gov) upon release in December 2007. The program announcement will also be available on the CDMRP website (https://cdmrp.army.mil).

A Letter of Intent (LOI) is required and must be submitted through the CDMRP eReceipt website, https://cdmrp.org. Proposals for this funding opportunity must be submitted through Grants.gov. The LOI and proposal submission deadlines will be listed in the program announcement.
