Department of Defense Autism Spectrum Disorder Research Program
Funding Opportunities for Fiscal Year 2007
The Fiscal Year 2007 (FY07) Defense Appropriations Act provides $7.5 million to the Department of Defense Autism Spectrum Disorder Research Program (arp)to promote innovative research that advances the understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and leads to improved treatment outcomes. This program is administered by the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command through the Office of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).
FY07 arp Program Announcements for proposals in the following mechanisms are expected to be released in mid to late May 2007:
- Concept Award
- Idea Development Award
- Clinical Partnership Award
Detailed descriptions of each of these mechanisms, evaluation criteria, submission requirements, and deadlines may be obtained in the FY07 arp Program Announcements. Each Program Announcement will be available electronically for downloading from the Grants.gov website (https://www.grants.gov) and the CDMRP website (https://CDMRP.HEALTH.MIL) upon its release in May 2007.

Beginning this year, full proposals requesting funding from the CDMRP will be submitted through the Federal Government's single entry portal, Grants.gov, in compliance with Public Law 106-107. Individual Program Announcements and required forms will also be found on this website. A Pre-Application will be required of all proposals, to be submitted through the CDMRP eReceipt website, https://cdmrp.org.
