Assessment of Biospecimen Needs of the Prostate Cancer Research Community

Posted April 23, 2019

In 2010, the PCRP established a virtual biorepository, called the PCBN, which was tasked with facilitating the collection, processing, annotation, storage, and distribution of high-quality human prostate cancer biospecimens to prostate cancer investigators in a systematic, reproducible fashion, ultimately assuring researchers that PCBN-supplied samples are of the highest quality to address important questions in prostate cancer research.

To help ensure that the samples available through the PCBN are meeting the needs of the prostate cancer research community, PCBN investigators are asking for information about researchers’ current sample needs.  Please consider taking a few minutes to complete a short survey (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfPLfLh6I9wshPNT-2v3Jk03VWrp0PlkUzMz0D0yQaWmQQVkg/viewform) to tell the PCBN about your current sample needs.

For more information about the PCBN, available samples, and how to apply for samples, please visit http://www.prostatebiorepository.org/.
