Dr. Gayle Vaday, Program Manager of the Breast Cancer Research Program (BCRP), is featured on Our MBC Life, a podcast produced by women with metastatic breast cancer. Interviewer Lisa Laudico asks Dr. Vaday about current research and funding opportunities. Co-host Sheila McGlown, a former BCRP consumer reviewer and Veteran, shares some personal stories about how the program positively affected her life.

During the 49-minute discussion, Dr. Vaday explains the origins of the BCRP and the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). She outlines the two-tier system of reviewing applications for funding and stresses the importance of consumers' input in identifying promising research. In addition, she talks about metastatic breast cancer research funding and the BCRP's continued focus on positively impacting the lives of Service members, Veterans and the general public.
